Thanks for taking the time to read our rules. We, the staff of SaD, wish for you to at least skim through them, as we will not hold back in putting a strike on you if you broke one. Read over them a couple times, if you have to. Just remember to familiarize yourself with them so you don't have any problems with breaking any. Keep in mind that our banning system is based on a 3 strikes, you're out sort of deal. So if you are warned three times, you will be kicked from your Clan as well as the whole of the role-play.
(A big rule can sometimes count as two, as well as two or three small rules can add up to make one.)
1. A C T I V I T Y
- We ask that you are on at least 3 days a week. Every other day for high ranks such as medicine cat/deputy, and every day for a leader. (If you can't be active enough for a high rank, then don't be surprised if your leader or an Admin de-ranks you back down to a normal warrior rank.)
- When you get online, we ask you not to got straight offline if no one's on. Stick around for a while a wait! Go on another tab, play another game, just pass the time until some more people get on. If you get online and straight offline afterwards, you're just contributing to the problem.
- We ask that you do not join the group just go offline after you join and never come back. It's rather annoying, and will lead to a kick from the group.
2. L I T E R A C Y
- We like our RP to sound like a book, with smooth flowing sentences. We ask that all members use correct punctuation(adding commas, periods, capitals), spelling and lengthy posts.
- RP posts that only take up one full FH chat box should have a -s- at the end of it, so we know that you will not be continuing your post. On that note, we ask that all members look for a '<' '-d-' etc before pressing that enter button. To continue your post, you will usually have a '-c-' or a '>' at the end of your post, indicating that the post wasn't completed. (Ex: The she-cat then >>/-c-)
- If you do not live to your literacy expectations, you will be kicked after one week unless you improve.
- Semi-literate (correct punctuation and spelling, but your posts are short, or people that make a lot of typos) are also accepted into the RP as long as they promise to improve over time. Remember, no one is perfect!
- If a person happens to go afk in the middle of their posts, and you are holding a post to enter, you are allowed to do so. Though, that doesn't mean post-cutting is allowed. It is annoying having another post cut in between the middle of yours or someone that is RPing with you, and can sometimes get confusing. You will get three warnings about post cutting before a strike is set on you.
3. R E A L I S M
- Don't give your cats unrealistic names that normally wouldn't be seen in the warrior books. Cats are named for their personalities and appearances, and usually relate to things found around the forest(ex: Pine, Holly, Birch, Leaf), and try to find a name that you like and would fit your character's appearance and personality.
- Click here for SaD's realistic naming and renaming guide!
- We DO allow items, but you are not to involve them any way whatsoever in your character's life. It would be unrealistic as no cat in the wild would be wearing it(Necklace, feather, etc). Now, overly obnoxious items such as guns or swords will not be allowed, seeing as they're quite large and distracting.
- Make sure the first letter of your character's suffix is lowercased and not uppercased. (example: ShrikeHeart <-- incorrect | correct --> Shrikeheart)
4. C H A R A C T E R S
- No full manes on your cat. I understand if you're a a long-haired cat, but please. A full mane is a little overwhelming.
- Once males are fully grown, they are to be a little smaller than half of 3/4 of the sizing scale. Nothing smaller.
^ Appropriate size for males.
As for she-cats, do not have kits sized cats. I can't stress this enough. Having adult she-cats the size of kits is rather annoying, and is very unrealistic.
Dwarfism is not an acceptable excuse. A cat in the wild at that size would barely survive and wouldn't make a fit warrior at all. If your she-cat isn't at least larger than half of the FH scale, I will ask you to change. Please don't get angry at me or another staff member if I or they tell you to up your she-cat's size.
^ Appropriate size for females.
- NO INSTANT CRUSHES OR MATES OF ANY KIND. Must have at least 2 IRL days to develop a crush!
- You must be active in the first Clan you joined. Even if the character dies, you still must have a character in it. If you genuinely have a huge problem with the Clan you are in, then feel free to contact a moderator about the situation and explain to them why you wish to switch Clans. You will not be allowed to Clan hop! If you're seen being more active in another Clan, you will be asked to delete your other characters.
- You get 3 characters in either Clan, though only 2 if you fail to keep active often. By making another character, you are putting more responsibility on yourself and are making it more difficult to keep up with your first, main character.
- Rogues and loners are allowed in the RP, and are allowed to roam around the map as freely as they wish. But that does not give them the right to constantly harass the Clans. Yes, it causes action and allows the role-play to have fun, but eventually, it will just get plain annoying having to deal with intruders every hour.
- Whatever you RP, you are doing it at your character's own risk. This means, if you kill someone, or are a rogue/loner, you will most likely be attacked or ran out on sight. You shouldn't act surprised or question why your character is being gunned down, as you know what you made them do and therefore it is your responsibility to handle it.
- All characters must have weaknesses. You CANNOT be both agile and large/muscular at the same time. You CANNOT be small and powerful. Simple as that. Every cat has a blind spot, and it is up to you to choose that blind spot for them.
- As for aging, 2-3 days will equal one moon. You are allowed to slow down time if you are an adult, as it's typically the age you would like to keep your character at. For kits and apprentices, it is required for you to age.
- We do not allow 'Evil' cats into the Clans. Evil includes murdering Clan-mates, cannibalism, etc. Sure, your cat can have an attitude problem and can be rude to their clan-mates, but we will not have others harming their clan-mates unless it's apart of an allowed plot.
5. R O G U E S / L O N E R S
- Please ask your leader before creating a rogue or loner.
- Loners or rogues must be at least 10 moons and no younger. These cats are living alone in the map, where there are many threats and dangers and are required to hunt on their own.
- All rogues and loners may not intrude a Clan's camp without first asking the leader/deputy's permission. Any and all RP posts will be ignored until you ask.
- Your rogue / loner can not wonder into a camp and kill/injure someone and escape just like that. If you do anything the Clan's consider a threat, they will be keeping a close watch for you and will most likely not forgive you for what you've done at all. Don't try to play the victim when we react realistically.
6. L E A D R O L E S
- You will not receive a leading role/rank unless your leader specifically asks if you would want to fill one in.
- Do not act interested in any high rank if you know you won't be active. The requirement is every other day, and daily for leaders (with some excused absences.)
- BOTH leaders are required to advertise and recruit for their role play at least every other day, and deputies are required to be by their leaders side to help recruit and take charge OOCly. One leader will not recruit for all of the Clans. If your leader isn't on, but your deputy is, go recruit! You can have the new recruits send a join request to the group and they will be accepted once your leader gets on.
- All must be highly literate, familiar with the rules and how to enforce them, and know when enough is enough.
- If a lead role continuously becomes absent, even if it is excused, they WILL be removed and replaced. I understand that you have a life outside of FeralHeart, but we still need someone to fill the position in the RP.
- If an Admin of any of the four groups finds that someone is unfit to lead, they can be demoted from their position as that role.
- Lead roles are to be cherished, and you must be pretty damn special if you have it. Be sure to respect your leaders, because they will be watching every little thing and noting every little thing you do wrong.
7. C U S S I N G / W H A T N O T T O S A Y
- Cussing is allowed, yes. Feel free to say whatever curse word you'd like, how many times you want to say it, but remember to be at least a little mature and respect those around you.
- This goes for the rule above; Respect everyone around you. This role play is meant to be fun. We're all here for the same reason; to have fun and role-play together. We build bonds and friendship, and become a tight knit group of friendly role players. Don't ruin it by being flat out rude.
- Racism of any kind will not be tolerated. Remember that this game is available for everyone all around the world, and so people of different ethnicity and race will most likely be playing together. Many people can get very offended, and it will most likely cause a lot of yelling and drama
- Trigger Warning -
- Speak of disorders such as anorexia, depression or anxiety is not to be joked about or even talked about. Some people may have/had such problems and do not want to be around such topic. (We will not have any 'cutting' jokes either.)
- The same thing goes for talk about rape. It should not be brought up in the role play at all. When I say this, I don't mean "you can say it but only as a joke!" Don't speak of it at all. It is a very mentally damaging and terrible thing to go through. To some people this may sound ridiculous, but I've come to the conclusion that it's a very reasonable rule.
- No speak of things such as incest, sexism, etc etc. It's again, triggering, and people can be very offended by it. Just refrain from bringing it up as a topic.
- Trigger Done -
- Please don't bring personal problems into the RP. We'd love to be able to sit there and help you with it but it could trigger someone else by talking about said problems.
- Don't complain about others or insult them in public chats such as local, group or general. I, nor anyone else in the group will /not/ take kindly to bullying, as most people are online to /escape/ real life problems such as it.
8. M I S C
- Please do not take matters into your own hands if a problem occurs. Simply screenshot it and send it to a moderator or admin. Mini-mods will not be tolerated.
- Do not bring other characters that aren't in the RP into the map(Wolves, cats, etc) to just 'hang out'.
- Do not go to the border and cause trouble unless given permission from both leaders of the Clans. If not given permission, you are only allowed to go there to scout for any trouble, or hunt on YOUR side.
- DON'T KEEP SECRETS FROM ADMINS. It's as simple as that! Have a character that you want to join a pride but want to make sure nobody knows its you? That's fine. Just be sure to TELL YOUR LEADER.
- We ask that you don't go to extreme levels to get attention. It gets annoying when characters get hurt all the time. If you have no one to RP with, simply walk up to someone and begin talking to them in RP. If they ignore you, simply whisper a moderator or admin and they will handle it.
Probably the most important rule here - Don't get all angry at yours or another leader when someone that your either you, or your character was good friends with, or even intimate with is kicked and/or banned from the role play. Just because they're your friend doesn't mean they get special treatment here. If they break rules, they get kicked.
Thanks for taking your time to read through all of the role play's rules! We hope that you understand each and every one of them, and that you follow them carefully. I'm sorry about how lengthy they are, but honestly we're not that strict. It's all about being nice, RPing properly, being mature and fair and keeping active! But I've ensured to make them long and thorough to idiot proof the role play!
If you break our rules and disrespect our players, remember that you won't just be banned from the RP, but you will be reported to the FeralHeart staff if you bully our community. If things happen to get out of hand, we will not only bring our RP staff into it, but also the FH ones too.
